What lies at the bottom of the deepest hole in the world?

The deepest hole in the world is in Russia, Kola Peninsula. It is called the hole Kola, 12 262 meters deep. The hole is made by scientists in the period from 1979 to 1989 to find out what is below the ground surface.

Team of YouTube channel SciShow make a video of exactly what is in the deepest hole in the world. Scientists found really interesting things, so at depth of seven kilometers were found fossil remains of single-celled organisms, and water.

At the very bottom of the hole was measured temperature of 180 degrees Celsius, that is too hot for further drilling. The depth of the hole is only 0.19% away from the Earth’s crust to its center.
